My inauguration as a Congressman yesterday, June 13, 2023, is indeed the realisation of the common generational dream of the peace-loving people of Esan South/North East Edo State.

As I took the Oath of Office as an Honourable Member of the Federal House of Representatives, I remember the sacrifices of the long-suffering people of Esan North-East/Esan South-East Federal Constituency, Edo state. My emergence as a Federal Lawmaker is an eloquent testament to your love and goodwill.

The show of love and support at my inauguration dinner yesterday is unprecedented. I thank you, fellow constituents, for not only campaigning and voting for me but also participating and aiding my legislative business as demonstrated by your action yesterday.

I also want to thank distinguished guests, and party dignitaries, who traveled far and wide in a show of support yesterday.

Most importantly, Let me specially thank my amiable wife, Mercy Johnson-Okojie for her support during my campaign, the elections, and after the elections. She made sure that the women are adequately carried along in all of our activities.

Finally, let me use this medium to congratulate the leadership of the 10th House of Representatives headed by the newly Inaugurated Speaker, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas.

I’m confident in his capacity to captain the ship of the Green Chambers to quality representation and democratic dividends.

On my part, I promise to sponsor and support any bill, motion, or petition that would benefit the good people of Esan North-East/Esan South-East Federal Constituency, Edo State, and Nigeria at large.
